Everyone has a box they would like you to stay in

There's the box of tradition where rituals smother reality

The box of religion where rules strangle spirituality

The box of narrow views which stops us from evolving

The box of judgement where others choose your belonging

Everyone has a box they will guilt trip you into

There's the box of human wisdom made up by man

The box of comfort that kills a life span

The box of jealousy it's more about control

The box of fear where true love is null

Everyone has a box they will try to force you into

There's the box of safety leading to stagnation

The box of shame, stopping liberation

The box of exclusive relationships making us shallow

The box of worry leading towards hidden sorrow

There will always be a box people will push you towards

Do your best to run the other way

Do your best to live free another day

Freedom comes from letting go of human expectations

You are one of a kind, diverse, multifaceted, beautiful, with no exceptions

The temptation of a box is it can feel safe and secure

But it stops a beating heart because it's not what you were made for

So everyday you must choose

Every moment you must be willing to lose

The demands of those who want to force you towards cultural cues

You must remember that no box can ever contain the magnificent YOU
