Grateful

Grateful for things that were, friendships secured, memories endured

Grateful for things that are, my healing scars, so much grace from afar

Grateful for things that will be, sadness set free, the year of jubilee

Grateful for the past, a precious time, my purpose recast

Grateful for the present, fully in the moment, time to reinvent

Grateful for the future, priorities fewer, wounds finding suture

Grateful for yesterday, staggering miracles, yet it’s a place we cannot stay

Grateful for today, for eternal friends, life together as Grace leads our way

Grateful for tomorrow, new faith, new ways, lifting the broken from sorrow
