So, What is Required?

Political divide, the new spiritual standard

Churches split, yet it’s God who is slandered

Philosophies built on Fox, CNN and Dr. Phil

Focused on fear, naivety kills

The shirt I wear, a kid made far away

The rich get richer, while he barely gets paid

My culture loves when I keep and spend it

My Father loves when I invest and share it

Girls exploited, objects of pleasure

Used as property, yet made as God’s treasure

Seen as the least, yet so much potential

Educate, liberate, makes the world more powerful

No longer Jew, foreigner, slave, owner

You’ve never looked in the eyes Jesus didn’t die for

We have the answers if we keep on giving

Your place on the map should not determine your living

Life’s mixed with blessings, struggles and pain

Important to laugh, cry, helping those through the rain

The only thing certain, is that nothing is certain

Except for eternity, the other side of the curtain

Today is a gift, tomorrow not guaranteed

Love overcomes evil, captives are freed

So what is required that heaven applauds

To act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God
