What’s Wonderful Enough for Me?
I am made in the image of God.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God loves me with an everlasting love and adopts me into his family.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, my mistakes and regrets, large and small, are forgiven and forgotten.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
I have been invited into God’s community where I can belong and can love and be loved. It’s a community where I can have deep, meaningful friendships where we love each other unconditionally, without judgment.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God longs to give me the desires of my heart.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
I’ve been given passions and unique gifts through the Holy Spirit to make an eternal contribution to the work of God throughout the world, bringing hope and redemption.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God has promised to never leave me or forsake me and to be with me when I am walking through dark, scary valleys.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God has given me eternal life and promised that even though my body will eventually grow tired and weary, I will one day receive a new body, one with no more aches, no more pain, no more sickness, no more disease.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God offers me a joy that is greater than my temporary struggles and circumstances. He offers me a peace that is not dependent on the chaos around me. He offers me a life of contentment even though I have little or I have a lot.
BUT NOT ONLY THAT.
God beckons me to climb up on his lap when I am tired and weary from this crazy world and he will give me rest.
And that is wonderful enough for me!
