Every Day is a New Day

“There are only two ways to live life. One as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Albert Einstein

Every day is a new day

Bringing with it pain, pleasures

Ol' memories, new treasures

Mundane chores, scary adventures

Unknown plans, senseless conjectures

Every day is a new day

Yesterday is gone

Tomorrow hasn't come

The gift is right in front of you

Breathe in the moment, it's a new dawn

Every day is a new day

Mercies available like morning dew

Embracing grace but so few do

Birds singing songs of redemption

The gift of life beyond comprehension

Every day is a new day

Exposing religions lies

Opening blind eyes

I'm done with the tries

Shame their alibi

Every day is a new day

Embracing our beauty

Believing we are worthy

Receiving forgiveness

Love is our business

Every day is a new day

To conquer old fears

To shed new found tears

To wonder, to grow

To accept things we don't know

Every day is a new day

Taking one step forward

No less, no more

Not too fast, not too slow

Till the sun sets with its golden glow

“We sing, not because all is good or all is secure or all is certain.

We sing because the spirit is stronger than temporary pain and it is always darkest before dawn.”
