When the Night Seems Forever Long

When the night seems forever long

And sadness seeks the light of dawn

And my mind feels it will never be strong

My eyes search quickly for You

When the day will never end

And the sun has blistered my brittle skin

And wondering if I’ll ever feel again

My heart seeks desperately for You

When the morning grows old

And my nourishment has become cold

And conventional wisdoms been told

My body runs to shelter with You

When evening comes

Erasing the rays sun

Darkness impossible to shun

My soul absorbs light from You

“...in His favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

Psalm 30:5
